Our corporate event venue in Bucharest is the house at 19 Polonă Street, whose building permit was issued in 1935 for the family of Prime Minister Gheorghe Tătărescu. The house is booked on a private-event basis: from a board meeting for 10–20 people to a cocktail reception for 150 guests in the 800 m² courtyard. A corporate event venue in Bucharest, in Prime Minister Tătărescu’s house
The building permit for the house was issued in 1935 for the family of Gheorghe Tătărescu, Prime Minister of Romania from 1934 to 1937 and again from 1939 to 1940. It was designed by the architects Alexandru Zaharia and Ion Giurgea, in a Mediterranean style with Neo-Romanian elements. The building is a listed historic monument (LMI B-II-m-B-19435). EKO GROUP took it over in June 2024, and today the house is a corporate event venue in Bucharest, hosting corporate and business events at 19 Polonă Street, in Dorobanți, Sector 1.
A company can spend its entire working day in the house. The morning session takes place in the main salons, theatre-style, for 40 people. Lunch or dinner is served as a seated meal for 80 guests. The evening ends with a cocktail reception for 100 people in the salons, or for 150 in the 800 m² courtyard. Smaller discussions move to the meeting rooms, for 10–20 people, or to the Premier’s Library, where a board-style meeting seats between 8 and 16 participants.
The main salons are on the ground floor, and the U-shaped inner courtyard opens directly from the house. The private rooms are set apart: the Cigar Lounge and the Secret Poker Room.
The villa hosts only one event at a time: for the duration of the event, the spaces your company books are not shared with any other group.
Conferences and seminars
The main salons seat 40 people theatre-style. That is the right size for an executive conference, a seminar, a press conference or a results presentation. The technical set-up is ready: 4K audio-visual equipment, screens with screen sharing and wireless microphones. After the session, the same salons become the cocktail space, without the group having to leave the house.

Workshops and training
For working formats, the group is seated at tables. The meeting rooms take 10–20 participants, and the Premier’s Library 8–16, among shelves of hand-carved solid wood. Larger groups work in the main salons. High-speed Wi-Fi covers the whole house, courtyard included, and coffee breaks and lunch are served with premium catering and professional staff.

Business meetings
The Premier’s Library is the room for discreet conversations: a library of hand-carved solid wood, while next door, in the prime minister’s study, stands the Fichet safe, unopened for decades. A board meeting here seats between 8 and 16 people, and up to 20 in the meeting rooms. The business dinner is served in the salons, and the conversation can continue in the Cigar Lounge, available from 18:00 by reservation, for 4–12 people.

Corporate dinners, galas and receptions
A seated dinner takes up to 80 guests in the main salons. A standing reception welcomes 100 people in the salons and 150 in the 800 m² courtyard. The bar and table service are handled by professional staff, and the menu is agreed along with the quote.
The décor comes from the collection of the Rădulescu Art Galleries, which numbers more than 15,000 pieces from the 17th to the 20th century. A gala, a company anniversary or a corporate private view is thus given a setting that the house itself provides.
In the salon, the fireplace is the work of the sculptor Milița Petrașcu, a pupil of Brâncuși. It was Arethia Tătărescu, the prime minister’s wife, who commissioned the Târgu Jiu ensemble from Brâncuși. These are details guests notice for themselves, and they readily become a talking point.
Corporate and company parties
A company party takes one of two formats here. A cocktail reception in the salons, if the evening stays indoors. A cocktail reception in the courtyard, if the weather and the number of guests call for it. The dedicated event manager runs the evening’s programme, from welcoming the guests to last orders at the bar.
Summer party in the 800 m² courtyard
The U-shaped courtyard takes up to 150 people for a cocktail reception. The Wi-Fi reaches outdoors too. It is the right format for a company anniversary, a summer party or the close of a financial year.
An interwar theme night: the 1920s and 1930s
The house carries a period theme on its own: the interwar years are its natural element. An evening in the spirit of the 1920s and 1930s is built from the guests’ dress, the music chosen by the company and the menu, while the salons, the library and the smaller rooms do the rest. Guests can split up among the private rooms of the house — the Cigar Lounge, the Secret Poker Room and the Black Jack Room — where private experiences are held in groups of up to 12 people.
Indoor team building in central Bucharest
Indoor team building needs a place that gives the team something to talk about. The day can begin with the guided tour of the house, “Art. History. Experience.”, scheduled Monday to Friday between 12:00 and 17:00 and at weekends between 12:00 and 19:00, with online booking — details on the guided tour page. This is followed by a working session in the main salons and a shared meal.
For small groups, the house has its private rooms: the Cigar Lounge, available from 18:00 by reservation, the Secret Poker Room and the Black Jack Room. Here, poker and Black Jack are social games, played without stakes; the poker table is designed for 8–10 players, and each room takes up to 12 people.
Launches
A product, brand or book launch uses the same combination of formats: a theatre-style presentation, followed by a cocktail reception in the salons or in the courtyard. Screens with screen sharing and wireless microphones support the demonstration. Photographs and video are shot in an authentic interwar setting.

The company Christmas party
The company Christmas party can be held in the main salons, as a seated dinner for 80 guests or as a reception for 100. December dates are booked in the same way as the rest of the year.

Pricing is on request: we do not publish figures, because each quote is built around the event. It depends on the date, the number of guests, the chosen format, the menu and the length of the event.
Can the house be booked for exclusive use?
The villa hosts only one event at a time. For the duration of the event, the spaces your company books — the salons, the library, the private rooms or the courtyard — are not shared with any other group.
What audio-visual equipment is available?
4K audio-visual equipment, screens with screen sharing and wireless microphones. The dedicated event manager coordinates the technical side on the day of the event.

Where is the house, and is there parking for guests?
At 19 Polonă Street, in Dorobanți, Sector 1, in central Bucharest. Piața Romană metro station (M2) is a 7–8 minute walk away. The villa has no parking of its own: cars park on the street, in the public spaces nearby.
