A board table for 8–16 people

The Premier's Library is the room for discussions in a small circle at 19 Polonă Street, Sector 1, Bucharest, next to the Premier's study. Between 8 and 16 people sit around the board table. Its walls are lined with solid wood shelves.

The board table is the piece around which everything is arranged. With eight people, the discussion stays a close circle; with sixteen, everyone can see and hear one another without effort.

The house operates exclusively as a private event venue.

What the room is booked for

• board sessions and meetings of the board of directors;
• confidential discussions, negotiations and due diligence stages;
• executive interviews and investor meetings;
• strategy sessions and small workshops;
• contract signings, in a setting the guests will remember.

For a filmed interview or a team photograph, the room provides a backdrop that needs no set dressing.

For up to 16 people, this is the right room. Beyond 16, the Board & VIP format goes up to 20 people, and a seated dinner in the salons up to 80 guests; the formats are described on the business meetings page. A cocktail reception takes 100 guests in the salons and up to 150 in the 800 m² courtyard.

A library in the Premier's house

The building permit for the house was issued in 1935, for the family of Gheorghe Tătărescu, Prime Minister of Romania in 1934–1937 and 1939–1940. It was designed by the architects Alexandru Zaharia and Ion Giurgea, in a Mediterranean style with Neo-Romanian elements. Today it is a listed historic monument (LMI B-II-m-B-19435).

The room encloses the discussion in the quiet of a library. It is a setting that asks a meeting to carry itself differently.

In the salon, the fireplace and the door surrounds are the work of the sculptor Milița Petrașcu, a pupil of Brâncuși. It was Arethia Tătărescu, the Premier's wife, who commissioned the Târgu Jiu ensemble from Brâncuși. EKO GROUP took over the house in June 2024.

In the Premier's study, a step away from the library, a Fichet safe remains, unopened for decades. What is certain and what belongs to legend can be read on the unopened safe page. For a meeting where much is at stake, it is the kind of detail that changes the tone of a working day.

The rooms are dressed with a selection from the collection of the Rădulescu Art Galleries: more than 15,000 pieces from the 17th to the 20th century.

Presentation technology and premium catering

Presentations are shown on screen via screen sharing, with 4K audio-visual equipment and wireless microphones. The technology comes into play when you ask for it and does not compete with the room.

Coffee, breaks and meals are served from the premium catering and bar without interrupting the discussion.

How to book the Premier's Library

The price per person is the one shown above on this page. For a day with a format of its own — a presentation, catering, an evening programme — a quote is put together on request.

Send us the date, the number of participants and the format of the meeting through the contact form, and you will receive a proposal. The rest of the day is coordinated by your dedicated event manager, from welcoming the guests to the close.

If the meeting carries on into the evening, the Cigar Lounge opens at 18:00 for a group of at least 4 people. A cigar and a bottle of Macallan are on the house, with butler service.
