Product launch venue in Bucharest

Vila Tătărescu is a heritage house at 19 Polonă Street, Dorobanți, Sector 1, Bucharest. Its building permit was issued in 1935 for the family of Premier Gheorghe Tătărescu, to designs by the architects Alexandru Zaharia and Ion Giurgea, in a Mediterranean style with Neo-Romanian elements. It is a listed historic monument (LMI B-II-m-B-19435). For a launch, the setting works in your favour: the salons, the courtyard and the works of art find their way into every photograph.

The villa hosts only one event at a time: for the duration of your launch, the spaces you book are not shared with any other group.

Three kinds of launch

Product launch

The presentation takes place in the main salons, theatre-style. The technical side is covered by the 4K audio-visual system, screens with screen sharing and wireless microphones. After the presentation, the salons open for cocktails, and the product stays on display along the guests’ route.

Brand launch

Here, what counts is the image and the number of guests. The cocktail format is held in the salons or in the 800 m² courtyard. The evening can begin in the courtyard over a drink and continue in the salons, where the presentation takes place. Small-scale fashion presentations and brand events staged for the press also belong here.

Book launch

The author reads in the salon to a small audience, and the conversation and book signing continue over a drink. For an even smaller circle, the reading moves to the Premier’s Library: 8–16 people around the table.

Presentation, then cocktails

Most launches come in two parts. The first is the presentation: 40 theatre-style seats in the main salons. The second is the cocktail reception: 100 guests in the salons or 150 in the courtyard. The move from one to the other is planned in advance with your dedicated event manager, who coordinates the programme on the day of the launch.

A typical programme has four stages:

• welcoming guests with a drink in the hall or in the courtyard;
• the theatre-style presentation, in the main salons;
• the press moment: statements, photographs, short interviews;
• the cocktail reception, in the salons or in the courtyard.

Art as décor, and the landmarks of the house

The décor comes from the collection of the Rădulescu Art Galleries: more than 15,000 pieces from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

The house also has landmarks of its own. The fireplace in the salon is the work of the sculptor Milița Petrașcu, a pupil of Brâncuși. In the Premier’s study stands a Fichet safe that has not been opened in decades. The U-shaped courtyard covers 800 square metres.

When the launch also calls for video content or a separate photo shoot, the house can serve as a film set, with the salons and the courtyard as backdrops.

So that we can send you a precise proposal for the programme and the spaces, we need a few details:

• the date and the time you would like the launch to begin;
• the number of guests, and how many of them are press;
• the format: presentation, cocktails or both;
• the branding and display elements you will bring;
• whether you need filming or photography during the event.

The earlier you write to us, the more time we have to prepare the spaces and the programme for the evening.
