There are rooms that do not announce themselves. The Premier's Library, within Vila Tătărescu, does not demand your attention — it earns it in silence, as details reveal themselves one by one: the profile mouldings of the solid wood shelving, the carefully finished joints, the density given by the books and files of an era. This room belonged to Gheorghe Tătărescu, Prime Minister of Romania in two mandates (1934–1937 and 1939–1940).
The Space of Closed-Door Decisions
The Premier's Library was conceived for conversations that truly matter — held in small numbers, with selected interlocutors. Today, this vocation remains intact. The space is configured for board meetings and restricted sessions of 8 to 16 persons.
The original solid wood shelving surrounds the room on three sides, creating a natural acoustic and a sense of a space dedicated to thought.

In a corner of the library sits an object that has not been opened since 1944: a sealed safe, with its original mechanism intact. No one on the EKO GROUP team has forced it open — and this is a deliberate choice.
