The inner courtyard of Vila Tătărescu is the truest expression of this tradition — a space of over 800 square metres, configured in a U-shape, which the building embraces on three sides and shields from uninvited eyes.

The U-shaped courtyard creates a space with a surprisingly natural acoustic, where conversations remain on a human scale. The space can be organised into distinct zones — cocktail reception at the entrance, dining in the centre, music toward the far end — without them overlapping. The 150 guests it can accommodate are not crowded, but distributed with ease.

One of the most appreciated configurations combines the courtyard with the main salon: welcome cocktail in the courtyard, followed by dinner in the salon — or vice versa. Whatever formula you choose, the inner courtyard remains the villa's element of surprise — the space guests do not anticipate and, invariably, do not forget.
